Perched on top of the sacred Phuthadikobo Hill and adjacent to the Royal Residence as well as being above the Kgotlakgolo of Bakgatla ba Kgafela, the Museum is the hub of cultural life. It can be accessed by the road passing through the Royal Residence or by foot from the side of the Main Kgotla. It is bordered on the southern side by the Notwane River and by Mososo and Madibana wards on the western side. The location of the Museum gives a wide view of the eastern, sound and western sides of Mochudi and as far as Gaborone.
